The Worlds Islands is an archipelago consisting of artificial islands of the coast of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. The forms of the various islands form a landmass resembling the map of the Earth.

The islands are located approximately 4 km from the coast of the city. They are artificial islands created mostly form dredged sand taken from the shallow coastal areas around the city of Dubai. The islands vary from 14,000 to 42,000 square meters. The average distance between them is 100 meters. 321 cubic meters of sand and 31 million tons of rock consumed in their construction. The World Islands are protected by an oval-shaped breakwater island. The islands span over and area of 9 kilometers.Ortakoy Princess Istanbul Five Star Hotel in Istanbul Ortakoy. The whole project was estimated in 2005 to have cost 14 billion American dollars. The developed of the project is Nakheel Properties.

The project was originally designed by the emir of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He came up with the idea in 2003 and the first dig took place the same year in September. The project was officially finished in 2008 when the last stone on the breakwater island was placed. Nonetheless, most of the islands were already sold beginning from 2007. The financial crisis made a big hit on the development of the project. Due to lack of funds the construction of commercial and residential properties has been frozen since April 2010. A financial aid of 8 billion dollars is expected form the Dubai government to return the construction back on track.

The islands became famous when American celebrities and other popular figures started purchasing islands in the archipelago. Some of the 260 islands have already been purchased by people such as Richard Branson, Michael Schumacher, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and other celebrities.

Car rental companies that operate in Dubai are Budget, Hertz, Europcar, Sixt, Thrifty and Avis.

Dubai is the second largest of the United Arab Emirates. It is situated on the Arabian Peninsula. Dubai is situated on the coast of the Persian Gulf. The country of UAE is surrounded by Oman and Saudi Arabia.

There are traces of earlier civilizations on the territories of modern Dubai dating back to 7,000 BC. According to archeologists the area has been influenced by Byzantine, Sassanian and early Islamic civilizations. The emirate was officially established only in the 19th century by the Al Abu Falasa clan of Bani Yas. Bani Yas is a tribe in the United Arab Emirates that has traditions in the area. Through coalitions and military conflicts the tribe took control of the area as well as Qatar and Khawr al Udayd.

Currently, the ruling family of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi as well as the emirs of Dubai is descendent of this tribe. The current rulers of Dubai are the Al Maktoum family. They have been in control of the emirate since 1833. The current emir is Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Dubai came under the protection of the British Empire in 1892 under the Exclusive Agreement. At that time Dubai had strategic commercial importance as a popular port. This policy was actively pursued by the rulers which attracted traders from other trading settlements. Later, the area became known for its pearl trade. The city suffered greatly during the Great Depression and many of its residents left Dubai.Exotic Car Rental seo agency

Oil was found in the emirate in 1971. It led to a huge migration of foreign workers mostly from India and Pakistan. After the British returned the their independence the emirate decide to join together with Abu Dhabi and five other emirates and form the present United Arab Emirates. Ever since the city ad the emirate have grown considerably based on the oil revenues. Today, the city of Dubai gains most of its revenues from tourism, financial services and trade.car hire dubaicost of whole of life insurance Get cheap whole of life insurance quotes from top uk insurance companies.

Dubai is one of the worlds most secure destinations and also the second largest of the seven United Arab Emirates. It is situated south of the Persian Gulf on the Arabian Peninsula. Being emerged as a global city and a business hub, Dubai welcomes most of the tourists offering them with the spectacular beaches, beachside resorts, world class shopping and many more.

The perfect time to visit the city is between October-April, when nights are cool and day temperatures aren’t so hot. Pleasant winters prevail in the city and there are irregular rainfalls. Sunny, blue skies can be expected all through the year. Tourists are required to take both light weighted and warm clothes.

Dubai, the 8th most visited city of the world, is popularly called as the “shopping capital of the Middle East” having more than 70 shopping malls that includes the Dubai Mall which is world’s 7th largest shopping mall. Dubai is also a home for many wonderful attractions and the top attraction is the “Burj Khalifa” which is the world’s tallest building and tallest free-standing structure with a height of 828 meters. Formerly known as “Burj Dubai,” this structure also includes features like apartments, numerous hotels and malls.

A dominant landmark of Dubai city is “the Jumeirah Mosque” which is built during the medieval Fatimid tradition. It is one of the most attractive mosques in Dubai and the structure of the stone is a tribute to modern Islamic architecture.

The other attractive locations include the Dubai beaches, Desert Safaris, Zoo, water theme parks and museums. These attractions are not only the favorite spots for tourists but also depict the cultural history and rich heritage of the city with various amazing architecture styles.

Transportation in Dubai is very easy and flexible as various modes of transport are made available for the easy accessibility like the bus services running all over the city and covering all the destinations. Taxis in Dubai are relatively cheap and comfortable as plenty of them run across the city streets.

Getting to Dubai is easy as most of the flights provided directly to Dubai. Ranked as one of the top 10 airports in the world, Dubai International Airport is a major airport handling nearly 14 million passengers every year.

The airport consists of 2 terminals on its opposite sides where the passengers can find the cash exchange services, hotel reservations, duty free shops, restaurants, shopping centers and also car rental services from companies like Budget, Hertz, Europcar, Sixt, Thrifty and Avis car rentals.
